CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture.” A CSA program allows local communities to connect directly with local farmers who provide the community with a source of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Think of it as having a home garden in which you get fresh fruits and veggies from… But we (the farmers) are planting, tending to, managing, and harvesting the goods for you!

To become a member of the CSA program, you, the member, purchase a “share” of our crop. In return, we, the farmers, provide you, the member, with your “share” of our crops as they are harvested over a 12-week period. We have two bundle options, one being a Full Share, the other being a Half Share. Each bundle will be customized with fresh produce of your choosing, based upon the items available each week. Becoming a member of The Corn Crib Produce CSA program also gives you priority in times of short supply. As a paid member of our business, members receive priority over our retail storefront, as they have already made a financial commitment to our crop.

The CSA-style program was created to help local farmers purchase crop inputs, such as seeds and fertilizer, by having members of the local community purchase their share of the crop upfront. In return, members receive their portion of the harvest throughout the season, delivered to their local community.

In an effort to continue the legacy of The Corn Crib, the CSA-style program helps us secure the much-needed capital to keep growing the sweet corn and other vegetables that many of you love.

In return, you, as a member, will receive fresh, locally grown produce, just like you would from your own backyard garden! You, the community, will receive hand-picked fruits and veggies from farmers you know and have the opportunity to personally connect with.

With our fully customizable box, each member has the ability to choose the items in each bundle based on the produce items available each week. Options may include, but not be limited to, sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, green beans, and several other fresh vegetables. Available items will vary from week to week based on the seasonality of the crop and Mother Nature.

Bundles may also include complementary recipe ideas and vegetable information to go along with bundle items.
